Type locality is Cenote Calavera (Temple of Doom) in Quintana Roo. Further known localities in Quintana Roo are cenotes Mayan Blue, Naharon (Cristal), Escondido, Actun Ha (Carwash), Actun Ko,

Wennen Ha, Muknal and Tabano. From Yucatan the species was known from cenotes Papakal, San Eduardo, Kankirixche, Yaal Utsil and Dzonotila.

Our records show that this species is distributed in cenotes of central Yucatan and along the Ring of Cenotes. Among the two
