The original two specimens from which this species was described were macropterous females. These came from two sites in Queensland; the
<typeStatus id="54F170E1390BFF81FE441146FA78FE95" box="[478,576,325,349]" pageId="12" pageNumber="251" type="holotype">holotype</typeStatus>
from
<quantity id="4CB263A6390BFF81FD1C1146FAECFE95" box="[646,724,325,349]" metricMagnitude="5" metricUnit="m" metricValue="1.2" pageId="12" pageNumber="251" unit="km" value="120.0">120km</quantity>
south of Gladstone, and the
<typeStatus id="54F170E1390BFF81FB801145FC42FE96" box="[1050,1146,326,350]" pageId="12" pageNumber="251" type="paratype">paratype</typeStatus>
from Mt Tamborine. The micropterae mentioned with that original description are described here as a new species,

. More recently, micropterae of both sexes of

have been collected, as listed below, but no further macropterae have been seen. The micropterae are very similar to the

, with a large pelta bearing very small lateral lobes (

). The pre-ocellar setae arise on tubercles, but these are smaller than those of

. Micropterae of both sexes have been taken on several dates at Brisbane, The Gap, and also at Kuranda in northern Queensland.
