Diagnosis. The representatives of

Blandin, 1974 resemble those of
<taxonomicName id="F1E8CBE212AD9DDAB6AF4517AAA538CB" class="Arachnida" family="Pisauridae" genus="Euprosthenops" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" order="Araneae" pageId="8" pageNumber="145" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="genus">Euprosthenops</taxonomicName>
Pocock,
<quantity id="0360095C674430E6939EBB90FF57BE8A" metricMagnitude="1" metricUnit="m" metricValue="4.81838" unit="in" value="1897.0">1897 in</quantity>
the following characters: foraging on a sheet web (Fig. 2), anterior eye row extremely procurved (forming almost two eye rows) and anterior lateral eye strongly projected (Figs 24, 25) but they can be differentiated by the position in the web, since

moves on the surface of the sheet web (Fig. 2). The male palpi of
<taxonomicName id="C6A326DC82CD95C610947546162B9A03" class="Arachnida" family="Pisauridae" genus="Euprosthenopsis" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" order="Araneae" pageId="8" pageNumber="145" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="genus">Euprosthenopsis</taxonomicName>
possess a short and rounded distal tegular apophysis (
<collectionCode id="1D0D8AA3BD6FFE71BCD5213D1A274280">DTA</collectionCode>
) (Figs 27, 32) and a concave retrolateral tibial apophysis (
<collectionCode id="45478DFB1B64BB539CA6BC20AEA7F05A">RTA</collectionCode>
) (Figs 28, 34). In contrast, males of
<taxonomicName id="95F7A12104F0D56253DBFE0F62FD7AE3" class="Arachnida" family="Pisauridae" genus="Euprosthenops" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" order="Araneae" pageId="8" pageNumber="145" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="genus">Euprosthenops</taxonomicName>
possess a large and flattened distal tegular apophysis (
<collectionCode id="4AA7AAA4A57F6F05576C1EC083AE2E31">DTA</collectionCode>
) (Fig. 15) and a finger-like retrolateral tibial apophysis (
<collectionCode id="09757D8101789D3F2B4A44897C81D1D4">RTA</collectionCode>
) (Fig. 17). Females of
<taxonomicName id="D5DCD0AAF26729BD608F93C7B66685A5" class="Arachnida" family="Pisauridae" genus="Euprosthenopsis" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" order="Araneae" pageId="8" pageNumber="145" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="genus">Euprosthenopsis</taxonomicName>
resemble those of
<taxonomicName id="09F779C5D396EC150451404ACB475677" class="Arachnida" family="Pisauridae" genus="Euprosthenops" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" order="Araneae" pageId="8" pageNumber="145" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="genus">Euprosthenops</taxonomicName>
by the presence of conspicuous lateral lobes (
<collectionCode id="1EC699AFC2BFFA5F0956102BBC7816D5">LL</collectionCode>
) (Blandin 1974: 938, fig. 4) and by the scape-like projection of the middle field (
<collectionCode id="D18E11677B44FC467BDC4EBB1D8BD340">MF</collectionCode>
) (Blandin 1974: 938, fig. 4), but can be distinguished from
<taxonomicName id="290317FA5B9CBBCE692E5EEE6D06EF0B" class="Arachnida" family="Pisauridae" genus="Euprosthenops" higherTaxonomySource="CoL" kingdom="Animalia" order="Araneae" pageId="8" pageNumber="145" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="genus">Euprosthenops</taxonomicName>
by the slightly elongated spermathecae (Blandin 1974: 939, fig. 5) and by the tubular and elongated copulatory ducts (
<collectionCode id="B151409AC70A9420E0B5FF02A8347FC0">CD</collectionCode>
) in the latter (Blandin 1974: 939, fig. 5).
