A male and female from Río

in the Tambopata National Reserve (Dept. Tambopata) in the collection of USNM deserve special mention since they represent the first definite record of this highly variable species from elsewhere than the
<typeStatus id="54A38817FF82FFB6D2F8F859FC9EF82F" box="[761,812,2001,2027]" pageId="14" pageNumber="15">type</typeStatus>
locality. Both specimens have the armature of all tibiae comparatively more pronounced than any examples of the large
<typeStatus id="54A38817FF83FFB7D3F5FE84FB95FEE2" box="[1012,1063,268,294]" pageId="15" pageNumber="16">type</typeStatus>
series, which comprises

in total. Body lengths of the two specimens in USNM are male 61.0 mm and female
