Cell III inflated, dark brown. Thallus consisting of two divergent outwards dark brown secondary axes, which each include a series of 2–4 antheridia interspersed with perithecia or their initials. Antheridia dark brown except for the paler distal area, each bearing two dark brown apical secondary appendages. Stalk cell of perithecium narrowing and darkened near the base.</paragraph>
