Cells are Gram-staining-negative, non-flagellated, and short rod shaped. Colonies are circular, smooth, and white colored after 3 days of incubation at 25℃ on R2A. Positive for nitrate reduction. Negative for indole production, glucose fermentation, esculin hydrolysis, and arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatinase, and
<emphasis id="A5EDEABD834AFFE2FB08B5AAA3FDF67B" box="[1174,1188,1263,1287]" italics="true" pageId="7" pageNumber="19">β</emphasis>
-galactosidase activities.
