Head. Antennal segments red­brown. Arista medium long pilose, longest rays about half width of first flagellomere. Frons dark yellow. Apparently three frontals (broken and frons largely greased in

, bases of frontals not clear; non­type specimens three frontals on oblique line, with anterior frontal 2 times as far from the inner eye margin than posterior frontal); two orbitals. Face white to yellow, gena brown.

Thorax. Scutum shining brown; with apparently black setulae in

is in poor condition and a number of important characteristics, such as setulae of thorax, are missing or obscured. Given the fragile nature, the aculeus was not dissected. The species is, however, different from all other taxa with a hyaline indentation near junction of vein C with apical part of vein R1, by the largely white scutellum (other representatives in this group usually have three apical spots). The above description is based on the
<typeStatus id="54A29F9CFFCDFFDC557CF98462A4F94C" box="[605,707,1650,1676]" pageId="18" pageNumber="19" type="holotype">holotype</typeStatus>
and supplemented by a series of specimens from
<collectingCountry id="F30E61AEFFCDFFDC5629F96C6133F974" box="[264,340,1690,1716]" name="Ghana" pageId="18" pageNumber="19">Ghana</collectingCountry>
except for some small differences as indicated above. Because of the unique combination (white scutellum and single indentation near junction of vein C with apical part of vein R1) they are considered, for the time being, conspecific with the
<typeStatus id="54A29F9CFFCDFFDC5345F91C64FEF8C4" box="[1124,1177,1770,1796]" pageId="18" pageNumber="19">type</typeStatus>
, despite the small differences in wing­venation. Further material is, however, needed in order to establish the exact identity of this material.
