Males of

are rather rare. In Aqaba (2000,

collections pooled) the male: female ratio was 1:2.1. In Dahab, this ratio was 1:4.4 for all specimens collected and preserved and was even higher because not all females retrieved with the yabby pump were taken because of export limitations. Of the females from Aqaba, 47% were ovigerous; this percentage was 63% in Dahab.
