The determination of

is far from clear, especially in Southeast Asia. Biogeographically, spiders of
<collectingCountry id="BCDEA881FFBE2E18FCFBF943FC1EF936" box="[814,909,1723,1747]" name="Vietnam" pageId="11" pageNumber="354">Vietnam</collectingCountry>
should be related with those from Oriental and Australian area. Our comparison with Asian
<taxonomicName id="03C99392FFBE2E18FD5CF927FD6FF912" box="[649,764,1759,1783]" class="Arachnida" family="Hahniidae" kingdom="Animalia" order="Araneae" pageId="11" pageNumber="354" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="family">Hahniidae</taxonomicName>
spiders shows the new species has a strongly extended RTA proximally (excluded by
<taxonomicName id="03C99392FFBE2E18FE63F8FBFD99F8FE" box="[438,522,1795,1819]" class="Arachnida" family="Hahniidae" genus="Hahnia" kingdom="Animalia" order="Araneae" pageId="11" pageNumber="354" phylum="Arthropoda" rank="genus">

Male of these 3 species share a small tuberculate patellar apophysis with a tip, a strongly extended tibial apophysis approaching or exceeding the base of patella and a retrolaterally originated embolus extending almost a circle. But female of the new species is different from the others, which has a single copulatory opening centrally, the wide copulatory ducts and the absence of subspermathecae (second spermathecae or receptacula). A thorough check of papers for all Hahniids throughout the world was also done, but no closer species found than those from
<collectingCountry id="BCDEA881FFB92E1FFAB2FF60FF66FF31" name="New Zealand" pageId="12" pageNumber="355">New Zealand</collectingCountry>
.

was thought more important for the species identification than male palp (Brignoli 1986), but in our mind, male palp should be of great concern for the species generic decision. We prefer to put this new species into

, rather than propose a new genus for the single species. There are a lot of epigynes or vulvae of

not given or not shown very well in the literatures due to its quite small size. The exhaustive research on this group is badly needed.
