Characters shared by both species include the body slightly flattened as seen from the side; the head and pronotum are highly polished; antennal segment II has a few long semierect setae; the labium reaching barely beyond the procoxa at most. The cuticular sculpturing on the corium is visible but not as prominent as on most other species of the genus.
