Cells are Gram-stain-negative, facultative anaerobic, rod-shaped, motile with several flagella, 2.12.7 µm long and 0.70.9 µm wide. Colonies are creamy and convex. Growth occurs at 434 °C (optimum, 24 °C), pH 4.010.5 (optimum, pH 7.07.5) and 01.5% NaCl (w/v; optimum, 00.5%). Positive for oxidase, catalase, urease and nitrate reduction, but negative for H
