Carapace widest at level of mesobranchial region, narrowing in anterior one-third; dorsal regions welldefined, marked by shallow incised grooves; rostrum long, pointed, moderately upturned; pseudorostral spines, slightly longer than rostrum, ornamented with small median external spinule; anterolateral margin with laterally-projecting spine; posterolateral margin strongly convex, rimmed by three laterally-projecting spines; posterior margin consisting of three arcs, one axially convex and two laterally concave; strongly spinose dorsal carapace.
