. This species is easily recognized by having the harpe slightly incurved anteriorly with thick setae in the apex, the inner median filament anterior to the aedeagal dorsal lobes, the basivolsellar protuberance wide and well projected, directed ventrad and basidorsal corner of digitus strongly projected.

. Head. Mandible with two distal teeth. Median clypeal lobe subtrapezoidal, with one rounded tooth; median clypeal carina low in profile, incomplete apically, straight in profile or nearly so. Frons weakly coriaceous, punctures small and sparse. Vertex crest straight or nearly so. Dorsal pronotal area with anterior margin ecarinate. Tergal process submedian, with dense tuft of setae without depression. Posterior hypopygeal margin straight or nearly so. Genitalia. Harpe slightly wide basally, apical margin rounded abaxial margin not projected; gonostipes shorter than harpe, ventral margin not excavated until outer margin of basivolsella; digitus short, basidorsal corner strongly projected; basivolsella with wide, well-defined protuberance without spines; aedeagal ventral valve with apex anterior to apex of dorsal one, wide, abruptly narrowing apicad; inner margin sinuous; outer margin sinuous, slightly curved laterad; aedeagal dorsal valve narrow, with two pairs of apical lobe; outer lobe long, very narrow, apical margin rounded and posterad; apex of inner median filament anterior to apex of lobe, directed ventrad or nearly so; basal cover plate narrow in lateral part, posterior margin broadly rounded; apodeme extending beyond genital ring.
