Uredinia hypophyllous, minute, single or in small and often loose groups, ochraceous to light brown, 0.1-0.3 mm in diameter, aparaphysate, subepidermal, erumpent and surrounded by torn epidermis; urediniospores obovoidal, ellipsoidal, often reniform or slightly curved, ochraceous brown, often with an attached fragment of the pedicel, (17)18-21(24)
