New records of this species come from the Coromandel Peninsula and Waiheke Island, just north of

. These specimens agree with the

material from Aotea Harbour on the west coast of North Island, although several were of larger size (up to
<quantity id="4CB69B23FFB2FFD97995D6E8B58675B3" box="[649,740,1441,1465]" metricMagnitude="-3" metricUnit="m" metricValue="5.4" pageId="52" pageNumber="53" unit="mm" value="5.4">5.4 mm</quantity>
, compared to the reported
