Mandibular plates punctured basally and along clypeus, lateral margins black. Impunctate roughly circular area present on border of each eye in front of ocelli; base of head tumid. Three basal antennal segments uniformly brown to reddish brown, fourth and fifth segments bright red basally, becoming dark red to piceus apically, red basal area relatively short on fourth segment, longer on fifth segment. Rostrum yellow brown, dark brown at apex of fourth segment.
