In life, body of adult female small and subspherical. In slide-mounted specimens, derm more-or-less sclerotized and covered in low, rounded dermal papillae. Antennae each 1 segmented, with apex bearing 5 short spines (some too small to be shown in

). Legs absent or highly reduced. Spiracles each with an elongate bar without any associated sclerotized area, and a loose cluster of 1215 quinquelocular disc pores around opening. Anal ring situated ventrally, posterior to vulva, small, simple and heavily sclerotized, bearing posteriormost 2 setae (which appear to be on anterior of ring). Long tubular ducts (sometimes called 8-shaped tubular ducts), each with a longitudinal internal division that makes cross section of inner end appear bilocular, mostly scattered along dorsal submargin and margin, and ventrally.
