Penial structures very long (1000–1700 µm) and cylindrical, covered with a longitudinal muscle layer and a very thin, inner circular muscle layer. The muscle tube surrounds a thick layer of narrow epithelial cells, with basal nuclei. In the ectal 1/2 to 2/3 of the structure, these cells are very elongate and appear fibrous, similar to muscle tissue (
