This extinct genus is distinguished by its rather elongate, subquadrate, slightly flattened body shape; frons with lateral carinae over antennal bases, extending to anterior margin of epistoma; labrum wide, short, plurisetose, but with prominent setae at each side; pronotum with posterior margin simply rounded; scutellar shield small if present (obscured by fracture); elytron without obvious dorsal striae, but weakly carinate outer marginal stria, apex weakly truncate; propygidium short, pygidium simple; procoxa strong, distinctly transverse; prosternal keel narrow, slightly produced posteriorly over anterior margin of mesoventrite; prosternal lobe short, incised laterally for passage of funicle, with anterolateral grooves for reception of major protibial spur; antennal cavities not well defined, open, antennal club apparently lying under the hypomeron in repose; mesoventrite not obviously emarginate, but overlain by apex of prosternal keel; metaventrite weakly convex; metanepisternum exposed, narrow; profemur with groove on inner surface to receive protibia; protibia with weakly defined depression for reception of tarsus on anterior surface, apex with strong outer spur directed laterad and smaller inner spur directed distad; tarsi 5-5-5 (probably—apical metatarsomeres missing); tarsal claws simple, separate.

Body rather elongate, subquadrate, slightly flattened; frons convex; mandibles with long apices, left mandible apparently with tooth on incisor margin; antennal scape short, thick, funicle long, club tomentose, sutures or annuli unclear, if present; pronotum rather narrow, sides subparallel at base, rounded to weakly acute anterior corners, emarginate behind head; elytron without obvious dorsal striae, one epipleural stria and weakly carinate outer marginal stria (= outer subhumeral?) present; elytral apices weakly truncate; propygidium short, pygidium simple; procoxa strong, distinctly transverse; prosternal keel with a pair of striae along ridge, slightly produced over anterior margin of mesoventrite; prosternal lobe short; mesoventrite broad, with arched marginal stria; metaventrite weakly convex; profemur with groove on inner surface to receive protibia; protibia broad, outer edge rounded, bearing prominent spines and especially prominent apical corner, inner edge with distinct fringe of shorter setae; mesotibia rather slender, with ∼6 marginal spines and pair of small apical spurs; metatibia slightly broader, also with two small apical spurs; tarsi slender, apical tarsomere about 2.5× length of others, each with a pair of apicoventral spines.
