described the locality as Takow, Formosa. This species has recently been recorded by

This species was unlikely to have been collected in Takow (coastal areas of Kaohsiung City in 1866). Apparently, Swinhoe or Adams used Takow to represent an area approximating present-day Kaohsiung City. The same situation was also observed for the type locality of
