In the original description, Moser describes this species as

in length, with an elongate body, and distinctive long bifid claws (

), chestnut-brown yellowish, glabrous, bright dorsal region, with the last sternites slightly concave, without projections; the clypeus is marginal and sinuous, antennae have 10 antennomeres, pronotum with crenulated lateral margins, and slightly rough elytra has fine punctures. The lower metatibial spur is much shorter than the upper spur, fused with the tibia margin. Last sternites are slightly concave without projections. Parameres on the genital capsule are long, thick, very curved ventrally and not apically fused (

The original description is based on a male collected by A. H. Fassl in
<date id="CC1E43C2FFFFFFB43D47FAE0FA90A768" box="[1126,1281,1297,1322]" pageId="6" pageNumber="107" value="1910-10">October 1910</date>
, from &quot;Muzo, Columbien&quot;. The locality refers to the Colombian municipality of Muzo (department of Boyacá), located in the eastern Colombian range of the Andes, and is well known for its emerald mines. There are no recent records.
