Two species of unclear position within the genus occur in this area, endemic of the
<collectingRegion id="49DEF809FA57FFD8D1D7F8E2FAC9E45A" box="[1201,1381,1849,1875]" country="Spain" name="Canarias" pageId="95" pageNumber="96">Canary Islands</collectingRegion>
and
<collectingRegion id="49DEF809FA57FFD8D5F1F8BBFF54E473" box="[151,248,1888,1914]" country="Portugal" name="Madeira" pageId="95" pageNumber="96">Madeira</collectingRegion>
respectively. They have obsolete punctuation on the ventral face of the head and underside of the body, with traces of a postocular ridge visible, but, most probably this condition has been developed independently with respect to the lineage of the

-groups. Both species share traces of a subapical angulation on each elytron and a external face of metatibiae constantly with supplementary punctures, irregularly distributed or arranged in lines. The shape of the parameres apparently is intermediate between points 5)i) and 5)ii) (see above in &quot;discussion of characters&quot;).
