Head large and robust, its length 25.428.3 (28.3) % SL, dorsal profile rounded from nape to snout. Snout blunt, slightly projecting anterior to lower jaw. Mouth subterminal, maxilla 44.666.4 (56.1) % HL, extending to anterior edge of pupil or to mid-orbit, oral cleft extending to anterior rim of orbit. Lower jaw slightly inferior, premaxillary tooth plates matching mandibular tooth plates. Both premaxillary and mandibular teeth trilobed in 810 oblique rows of 412 teeth. Diastemata absent at symphysis of upper and lower jaws. Orbit large, 31.146.5 (33.3) % HL, dorsal margin below dorsal contour of head, suborbital depth to maxilla 16.151.5 (24.4) % OL; pupil a horizontal ellipse to horizontal slit. The largest specimen examined was a ripe female

(UW 158413), with yolked egg diameter of
<quantity box="[859,949,1412,1433]" metricMagnitude="-3" metricUnit="m" metricValue="2.1" pageId="13" pageNumber="67" unit="mm" value="2.1">2.1 mm</quantity>
. The smallest female with yolked eggs was
<quantity box="[1429,1529,1412,1434]" metricMagnitude="-2" metricUnit="m" metricValue="3.53" pageId="13" pageNumber="67" unit="mm" value="35.3">35.3 mm</quantity>
(UW 158418). Ovaries were dissected from
<specimenCount box="[1339,1471,1444,1466]" pageId="13" pageNumber="67" type="female">two females</specimenCount>
with yolked eggs. Females had five to nine yolked eggs (
<quantity metricMagnitude="-3" metricUnit="m" metricValue="3.05" metricValueMax="3.9" metricValueMin="2.2" pageId="13" pageNumber="67" unit="mm" value="3.05" valueMax="3.9" valueMin="2.2">2.23.9 mm</quantity>
diameter), a roughly equal number of opaque, developed but unyolked eggs (
