In Ihrem Endstadium stossen die Raupen Exkremente in haarähnlicher Form (

). Sie verlassen die Minen zum Verpuppen und spinnen hierzu einen hängemattenartigen Kokon unter einem benachbarten Blatt.

, welche keinerlei Anzeichen von Minen in den Blättern aufwiesen, sich jedoch jeweils im Umkreis von 2 Metern von einem befallenen

Nur bei einer Gelegenheit fand ich Minen mit Larven auf einer anderen Pflanzenart:

enthielten lediglich zwei Raupen, welche erfolgreich zur Imago gezüchtet werden konnten. Der befallene Baum stand abseits von jedem

-Bestand. Da ich sowohl diesen Baum, als auch andere Bäume der gleichen Art regelmässig, jedoch erfolglos, über einen Zeitraum von 3 Jahren nach Larven inspizierte, gehe ich davon aus, dass

lediglich als alternative Futterpflanze geeignet ist, jedoch nicht zu den bevorzugten Futterpflanzen von
