Three pairs of discontinuous branched branchiae on segments 3, 4 and 7; eyespots absent; lateral lappets absent; ventral shields from segment 2; nephridial papillae from segments 6; pairs of notopodia from segment 4 along almost the total length of the body; notochaetae distally dentate; neuropodia from segment 5, uncini avicular, MF:4:4, in single rows on segments 510; in double rows, arranged face to face, until posterior end.

emended the characters for the genus and stated that branchiae occur in segments 1, 2 and 5 and notopodia begin in segment 1, with the first pair of branchiae. Nevertheless, after the revision of the

specimen, the first segments are not easily counted because their divisions are not clear. The use of methyl green stain here indicates an arrangement of the branchiae, occurring on segment 3, 4 and 7. Thus, the first notopodia is in the second segment with branchiae.
