elev. Collected with flowers in January, and in AugustDecember, fruits in March and MayNovember. This species is commonly found in secondary forest and forest edges. It can be recognized by the fissured-scaly bark, usually covered by mosses and liverworts, the slash whitish or yellowish-white with scanty or occasionally abundant latex, the leaves spaced and spirally arranged, the yellowish ripening fruits that are sulcate between the seeds.
