<paragraph id="8BA6213EFFCBFFDA5619FAC16342F9D9" blockId="20.[264,1323,1295,1565]" pageId="20" pageNumber="21">Arista distinctly plumose; frons with longitudinal brown band for entire length; distance between posterior frontal and anterior orbital distinctly shorter than distance between anterior and posterior orbital; three frontals; scutum without transverse band; postpronotum white; scutellum with three apical brown spots, only visible in ventral view; anterior margin of wing with one indentation near junction of vein C with apical part of vein R1; S­band and inverted V­band separate.</paragraph>

Antennal segments dark yellow to brown. Arista distinctly plumose; longest rays longer than width of first flagellomere. Frons white to yellow, longitudinal yellowbrown band for entire length from ocellar triangle to antennal base, equal to width between anterior orbitals. Three frontals placed on oblique line, with anterior frontal at least 3 times as far from the inner eye margin than posterior frontal; two orbitals, posterior one shorter than anterior one but well developed. Distance between posterior frontal and anterior orbital distinctly shorter than distance between anterior and posterior orbital. Face white to yellow, gena darker brown.</paragraph>

Scutum shining black­brown, along transverse suture often yellow­brown, sometimes with faint yellow fascia; black setulae, without transverse bands of silvery setulae. Postpronotum white. Anepisternum with white to yellow band with lower margin reaching to lower fourth of posterior margin; with pale setulae, lower fourth black setulae sometimes more extensively so along posterior margin, two anepisternals. Katatergite and anatergite both white. Scutellum white, ventrally with 3 brown apical spots, not visible in dorsal view. Subscutellum black.</paragraph>

). Hyaline indentation near junction of vein C with apical part of vein R1, reaching vein R4+5, sometimes continuing slightly beyond vein. S­band and inverted Vband not fused; rarely V­band less strongly developed near subapical tooth, almost divided in two parts. S­band with small subapical tooth. Crossvein DM­Cu straight or slightly sinuous. R­M ratio 1.40.

However, since the material for most of the sibling species is limited, and for two of the species the male sex is unknown, the intraspecific variation with regard to these characteristics is still largely unknown. Caution has to be taken in order to identify the species concerned correctly. The genitalia of those known sexes are hereby illustrated.
