Liana, sometimes sarmentose, stem twisted, to 15 cm diameter at base.
<emphasis bold="true" pageId="0" pageNumber="99">Leaves</emphasis>
: a conspicuous ridge at petiole base; rachis 5.5-7.9(-9.5) cm, grooved above, tendrils absent, but petioles sometimes modified for climbing; pinnae 2-4 pairs per leaf, 3.5-10(-16) cm long with 5-10 pairs of leaflets; leaflets 1-2.5
