Cells are Gram-stain-negative, non-flagellated, nonpigmented and rod-shaped. Colonies are opaque, smooth, low convex and cream colored after incubation for 3 days on MA at 25℃. Positive for esculin hydrolysis, but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, urease, gelatin hydrolysis and
<emphasis id="CEEDB43BFFC6FF9E0460D30076070358" box="[1056,1071,555,579]" italics="true" pageId="9" pageNumber="33">β</emphasis>
