. Parafacial yellow to light brown with silver pruinosity; gena, proboscis and palpus yellow to light brown; postpedicel brown with silver pruinosity; arista yellow to light brown on basal fourth and reddish-brown apically; frontal vitta reddish-brown with minute silver setulae; ocellar triangle and fronto-orbital plate reddishbrown. Thorax laterally, humeral callus, notopleuron and legs yellow to light brown; scutum dark brown with three silver pruinose stripes. Lower calypter yellowish; upper calypter hyaline with darkened borders; wing mostly hyaline yellowish, slightly darkened on upper third; abdomen yellowish to light brown with a median brown stripe that extends to the distal borders of the tergites, but tergite five brown with yellowish apex; claws brown with black apex.

Dichoptic, fronto-orbital plates not in contact; eye with short, sparse setulae; anterointernal ommatidia slightly larger than remaining ommatidia; postpedicel ending before insertion of vibrissa; parafacial setulose on ventral half; proboscis retractile; facial ridge projecting, partially hiding postpedicel in lateral view; parafacial bare; frontal vitta bare; fronto-orbital plate with a few setulae; vibrissa inserted below the ventral margin of the eye and fully developed, twice as long as subvibrissal setae; inner vertical setae convergent; outer vertical setae absent; postocular setae divergent, almost as long as inner vertical setae; upwardly curved setae on gena absent; ocellar triangle short, not reaching half the length of frontal vitta; arista setulose; ventral hairs of arista present; secondary setulae on inner-dorsal surface of arista absent; palpus cylindrical.

Scutum regularly covered by setulae; acrostichal setae 0:1; dorsocentral setae 2:3; parahumeral seta present but weakly developed; posthumeral seta present; presutural seta present, twice as long as posthumeral seta; notopleuron with 2 setae and sparsely covered with setulae; prealar seta absent; supra-alar setae 2; intra-alar seta 1; postsupra-alar setae 2; intrapostalar seta present, weakly developed; basal scutellar setae: 1 pair; lateral scutellar setae: 1 pair, twice as long as basal pair; preapical scutellar setae: 1 pair, the same size as basal pair; apical scutellar setae: 1 pair, the same size as lateral pair; proespisternum: 2 upwardly curved setae and with a few spaced setulae; proepimeron with a few ground-setulae; anepimeron (ventral portion), anatergite, katatergite, katepimeron, meron, greater ampulla, post-alar wall, supra-squamal ridge, and membrane between anepimeron and lower calypter bare; anepimeron (dorsal portion), katepisternum and lateral portion of scutellum setulose; katepisternal setae 1:2, not making an equilateral triangle; anepisternum with a row of 8 setae, bearing setulae posteriorly and on anterodorsal corner; metathoracic spiracle larger than halter knob and setulose on posterior margin; metakatepisternum with a few weak setulae; lateral basal membrane connecting upper and lower calypters absent; lower calypter glossiform.
