Frons brown, a little broader than long, with dense but very fine microsetae and 60­66 hairs. Antials about twice as far apart as either is from a mediolateral and all four bristles almost in a straight transverse row. Pre­ocellars about 1.5x as far apart as distance from mediolaterals but at least as far apart as antials. MLs very slightly lower on frons than POs. Postpedicels brown but not dark, and subglobose. Palps pale orange yellow, greatest width viewed from above about 0.75x diameter of postpedicel and length of second segment almost

breadth. With five bristles, two at the tip, one pre­apical and two further back. Yellowish brown labrum only about 0.7x as wide as palp. Labella similarly colored above but otherwise paler. Thorax orange brown to more brown on top. Scutellum with an anterior pair of small hairs (only as large as those surrounding prothoracic spiracle) and a posterior pair of bristles. Abdominal tergites mainly brown, but anterior half of T2 largely yellow, sometimes also the same for T6, and the anteromedian regions at least of T3­T5. Hypopygium brown with straw yellow anal tube tinged brown especially in basal third. Venter dirty pale straw yellow with small hairs below on segments 3­5 plus a pair of bristles at the rear of 5. Legs straw yellow apart from brown on mid coxae and dorsal edge and tip of hind femur. Front tibia with 3­5 small dorsal spines. Dorsal hair palisade extends just over half length of mid tibia.
