Shell small, delicate, wider than tall; valves inequilateral, with 19–26 radial ribs, which are covered with short broad squamae, and usually three ribs of the LV are more pronounced. Auricles subequal. Coloration of tan to reddish brown with white markings, and rays of color on the pronounced ribs.
