REMARKS. — Protoconch 780 Μm high and 840 Μm wide at the base, of 1.6 dome-shaped whorls. Sculpture possibly partly abraded; small pustules scattered over the surface, sinuous collabral growth lines on the final half-whorl. The single specimen collected fits the original description and figure, Kosuges (1986c, pl. 27, fig. 6) figured specimen and the additional samples from

. It has the diagnostic characteristics that distinguish it from

: a smaller shell, fewer and broader spiral cords and a shorter siphonal canal. The protoconch was sufficiently well preserved to study in 2 of the 3 South African specimens and is concordant with the Fijian shell.
