: Body elongate, subparallel, completely testaceous brown; the antennae and the labial and maxillary palpi dark brown. Underside completely testaceous.

: Testaceous brown, broad; the distance from eye to pronotum equal to 1.6 times as long as eye diameter. Interocular space large, 3 times as large as eye diameter. Anterior margin of frons almost evenly curved, distinctly concave; head strongly depressed on antero-median part. Surface shining, covered with fine and long yellow setae. Mandibles long straight, distinctly dilated medially. Last segments of the maxillary and labial palpi dark brown, slender, 4 times as long as broad, flattened. Antennae long, filiform, joints cylindrical, dark brown 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th joints elongate, 2nd joint very small, globose, 6th8th joints subequal, 2.3 times as long as broad, the last three joints short, almost as broad as long.

: Testaceous, strongly transverse, trapezoidal, depressed posteriorly before posterior angles; posterior angles protruding with a sharp ridge. Entire surface shining with small punctures, each with a long and very fine seta. Scutellum somewhat elongate, triangular and testaceous.

: The name was selected because of the unusual, completely dark palpi and antennae on a body that is completely testaceous brown.

: This species can be distinguished from all other known species by the testaceous brown and subparallel body, and by the maxillary and labial palpi as well as the antennae which are completely dark brown, but also by the absence of distinctly visible costae on the elytra. Furthermore, the 4th 9th antennal joints are more than twice as long as broad.
