Ceiling of prosternal canal and mesosternal receptacle glabrous, lateral margins and sides squamose. Mesosternal receptacle widely open. Scutellum small, subquadrate, strongly protruding. Elytra and pronotum strongly convex in lateral view. Granules on elytra regular, large, shiny, each bearing one long decumbent seta; humeri slightly produced but elytra not significantly wider than pronotum. Elytral punctures large, shallow; not obscured by squamae; each with single large scale at its center. Interval 3 with granulate process, elevated above other intervals at short distance from base and terminating at elytral declivity. Protibia with short, decumbent, hair-like setae on ventral margin.
