shows a diploid number of 2n = 28 and heteromorphic sex chromosomes. The diploid complement present four pairs of large metacentrics, two pairs of medium sized metacentrics, and one pair of heteromorphic (XY) sex chromosomes (pair 7; one small subtelocentric and one microchromosome). The remaining chromosomes are microchromosomes.
