Exoskeleton thin over most colonies, terminating at hydranth base. Hydranth with a blunt conical hypostome and a slightly broader tentacular region with capitate tentacles arranged generally alternate in position. Tentacles arranged in five circles, having a nematocyst knob at their terminal end. The nematocyst knobs are spherical, smooth, and with stenotele and microbasic eurytele nematocysts.</paragraph>
