They are, however, distinguished from them by distinctly smaller body size, less slender antennae (preapical antennomeres transverse), a larger head (in relation to pronotum), the shape of the pronotum (slender and only indistinctly tapering posteriad), much sparser punctation of the head and the pronotum, a broadly impunctate median band on the pronotum, less strongly reduced abdominal sternite IX and tergite X, and a much smaller (in relation to body size) and more compact aedeagus without series of spines in the internal sac.
