It is characterized by paddle-shaped chaetae on antennae, short lateral process of labial palp, unusual chaetotaxy on anterior part of head, ciliate R on labium, modified chaetae on ventral side of the head, elongate unguis and unguiculus, and reduced dorsal chaetotaxy (absence of macrochaetae m4i, m4p and p4 on Th. II, a4i, m5, a6i and p5 on Th. III, m2i, a2–3 and m4p on Abd. I, m3ep on Abd. III and A4 and B6 on Abd. IV).</paragraph>
