The stout general habitus of the new subgenus and the rather high lateral lobes of pronotum resemble the situation in the genus

Tegmen markedly narrowed in apical third. Prosternal spines long with acute tip. The male cerci have the internal branch prolonged and curved backward at end, the apical process is laterally compressed and pointing straight behind instead of being downcurved as in the subgenus
