Vestiture consisting of a thin pile of bifid setae evenly dispersed over the elytra, a row of longer, backwards curved bifid setae lining the basal margin of elytra, and simple, undivided, nonclaviform long, nearlky straight setae on rostrum, pronotum and elytra, the setae longer and evenly spaced on dorsal interstriae. Head and forehead finely strigose. Eyes small, with a dozen or so ommatidia. Scrobes smooth and shiny all the way to eyes. Elytra lacking elevations or clusters of specialized setae.</paragraph>
