. The Slender Broad-nosed Bat is small, with slender skull and low narrow rostrum. Fur is dense and soft. Dorsal fur is dark to pale brown, with narrow but conspicuous white line from crown to base of caudal membrane; underparts are dark gray, with unicolored hairs. Face has four parallel, narrow, and white stripes; upper ones run from behind nose and over eyes to upper edges of ears on crown; lower ones are less sharply defined and run from upper lip under eyes to lower edges of ears. Noseleaf is fleshy, large, and spear-shaped; edges of noseleaf are dark, never bright yellow, and lower rim is free; single array of eight vibrissae surrounds margins of noseleaf; ears are large and rounded, edges sometimes pale, but never yellow; and interramal vibrissae are absent. Fifth metacarpal is shorter than third; elbows are densely furred and colored like back. Caudal membrane is very short in middle, with deep U-shaped margin; edge of caudal membrane has dense and long hairs; and upper surface of feet are densely covered with long hairs. I' converge and are broad, with parallel tips, and twice as long as I”. M' protocone is well developed. Three stylar cuspules occur on posterior cristid of P*. One or two stylid cuspulids occur on anterior cristid of P, and two on its posterior cristid.
