Sheaths thin, firm, colorless. Trichomes slightly constricted at cross-walls or not. Cells isodiametric or longer than wide or sometimes shorter than wide, 2.4-4.0 μm long, 3.1-4.0 μm wide. Apical cells conical, elongated up to 7 μm. Hormogonia are formed by necridic cells.</paragraph>
