A). The parameres have two pairs of short, sharp processes, of which the ventral are almost straight and pointing distolaterad, and the dorsal are slightly curved and pointing laterad (

This species is named after Annia Picado, an INBio-trained parataxonomist with many years of experience, who applies her expertise to the slide-mounting of small dipterans including cecidomyiids collected by ZADBI.
