The new generic name refers to the shiny surface of the new species. “Liang” in Chinese means bright and shiny, and “coris” in Greek means bug. Masculine.

The body of the new genus is smooth and shiny, which is distinctly different from that of all morphologically similar genera. The general body plan and the middle longitudinal sulcus on the anterior pronotal lobe resemble those of the genus
