. The front of the epiproct baseplate projects deeply into T10, dividing it into hemitergites. The overall shape of the baseplate is trapezoidal, with sinuous sides and wide truncate caudal edge with distinct caudolateral angles. The epiproct is of similar width and has a wide peduncle. In dorsal view, the front of the epiproct is slightly convex, the rear face flat to shallowly concave (

The long and narrow ovipositor is of uniform width over most of its length. It is a firm brown structure without macroscopic pilosity, except the two setae at the shallowly bilobed tip of S8. In ventral view the ovipositor extends beyond the abdominal tip for a distance that equals the basal width of S8 (

This species is recognized by the ovipositor. The species was first described from northern

but is actually widespread on the island although not common. Paulian's (1959) illustrations of the male, especially the long paraproct body, agree with the present specimens. In two distant regions, sexes were found in the same area and occurred in small numbers in trap catches dominated by other species.
