This species is currently only known from the Eastern Cape Province where it is associated with high altitude regions (1197-1805 m) across a variety of micro-habitats present in Camdebo Escarpment Thicket (Grassland biome), including open grassland, grassland with mixed thicket, mixed thicket with some small shrubs, larger trees and sparse grass, to
