Lengths of adults 4.0 mm. Body broadly oval; surface typically glossy with punctation and microsculpturing; pubescence variably dense throughout. Head about as wide as long. Eyes moderate, 0.5 times length of head. Infraorbital carina strongly developed and incomplete. Antenna with 11 antennomeres; articles 2 and 3 subequal; segment 4 transverse, articles 510 broader than long; segment 10 about 3 times wider than long; apical segment longer than combined lengths of articles 9 + 10. Labrum transverse, rounded apically. Mandible endentate, the left angulate at middle. Maxilla with maxillary palpi with 4 articles and a moderately defined pseudosegment. Labium with ligula short, shorter than labial palp 1, subtriangular (?), with rounded apex (?). Labial palpi with 4 articles (?). Pronotum transverse, about 1.4 times wider than long, distinctly convex. Setae moderately densely distributed, directed posterolaterad on disc. Elytra moderately broad, commonly wider apically than basally; apico-lateral angles not sinuate; elytra together about 1.5 times wider than long; microsetae more or less numerous, generally uniformly distributed and directed posteriorly.
