Densely pubescent or tomentose trailing or twining herb from a thickened rootstock, stems to at least 1 m long, relatively stout. Leaves petiolate, 2-7(-10)

An apparently very distinctive local endemic characterised by its large, usually solitary flowers and densely hairy indumentum. However, a number of specimens indicate that it is more variable than
