<paragraph pageId="24" pageNumber="25">Shell elongate-ovate, imperforate, solid, height up to ca. 49-100 mm (study area). Colour light to dark brown, mostly with darker axial streaks or light coloured spiral band(s). Surface with incrassate growth striae. Protoconch with fine, close axial wrinkles. Whorls hardly to slightly convex, suture well impressed, more or less crenulate. Aperture relatively small, subovate. Peristome slightly expanded.</paragraph>

<paragraph pageId="24" pageNumber="25">Habitat.</paragraph>
<paragraph pageId="24" pageNumber="25">As far as ecological data are available, the species live in cloud and montane forest, mainly near rocky outcrop. The altitudinal distribution is 0-2300 m, but likely the species are mainly restricted to the upper half of this range in the area treated.</paragraph>
